Get her to put a hairband around her wrist and everytime she goes to bite her nails, she has to snap the hairband against her wrist. She won’t want to bite her nails, that’s for sure!
Actually, I just also thought of a nicer one:
Figure out something that she really, really likes or wants and use it as an incentive. For instance, tell her you’ll buy her that hot dress she wants if she can grow her nails to a nice length, or you’ll shout her for a manicure.

If you have ever seen a picture of microscopic bacteria that lives under your nails you could not even bare to lick them. Get on the web and look up pictures of the things that live under your nails. If this does not work I can only say use your will power that is what I had to do.

If your friend does not habitually chew gum, get her some. Each time she feels like biting her nails, tell her to chew gum instead.

Haha I used to be a nail-biter myself. My parents would yell at me everytime I’d make a movement to bite my nails, and yet I couldn’t stop… They even bought me that foul-tasting liquid stuff, but then i would WASH it off and start biting again. Its all about willpower and the person’s decision to stop. For me, I finally realised how much my fingernails had become disfigured and how horrible it must look from another person’s point of view, that I finally forced myself to stop. I’m not sure if you can force someone to stop, but rather you should help them come to the decision to stop biting. Tell them, that aside from all the usual bacteria and nail disfigurement, nail biting also unevens your teeth, and can also potentially change your ****** structure for the worse.

You didn’t ask for EASY answers…
Yourself – Willpower…
A friend – chop their fingers off, if their will power doesn’t work.
Seriously there is nothing much you can do to FORCE them to stop, maybe some support may ENCOURAGE them to stop.

That’s the point of the nail polish that tastes disgusting! I think another option is to give her hand a hard slap when you see her biting. She may **** you for now, but she’ll thank you when she gets rid of that habit later! Lastly, I think the initiative to stop biting her nails should come mostly from her but you’d be a big help too if you’re there to encourage her to stop. Good luck!
